There is nothing worse than scrounging around for days worth of activities when you are sick. This Emergency Sub Tub is filled with activities a sub can easily do. I have included everything you need in this unit, including the video links to Stone Soup, Rosa Parks, and George Washington Carver.
Emergency Sub Plans
Fill your sub tub for 2nd graders with five days of emergency substitute plans! When you are sick you do not feel like planning out the day for a sub! This set of sub plans has everything you need for SECOND grade – language arts, writing, reading, math, science, social studies, and indoor recess activities.
Quarantined and Need a Sub?
Get ready in case you have to be quarantined! Or have you been QUARANTINED? All you have to do is send this SUB TUB to a teammate or to the sub – EVERYTHING is included! I’ve even included the links to the videos, you won’t even have to find the books! Trust me, this is the BEST $5 you will spend on your class this year!
What’s in the Sub Tub?
5 days of Lesson Plans filled with activities for the following:
- Whole group Reading and Small Group Reading (Stone Soup)
- Whole Group Math and Small Group Math (General overview)
- Social Studies (George Washington Carver and Rosa Parks)
- Science
- Indoor Recess or extra time activities
Activities for STONE SOUP
Stone Soup is a classic and kids love these activities!! Stone Soup is also great for SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING TOPICS: Sharing, Taking Turns, and Compassion. I also love teaching about Rosa Parks and George Washington Carver. In many states, they are a required standard in second grade.
This unit has so many fun and quick activities, making it so easy for a sub to implement. There are links to read-aloud and informational videos, so books are not required. The lesson plans are detailed enough for a sub to plug in and go at her own pace.
