Throughout the story, Froggy and his friends encounter various challenges and learn important lessons about teamwork, friendship, and the joy of autumn festivities.

One fun activity inspired by the book is a Pumpkin Patch Scavenger Hunt. The class could visit to a pumpkin patch or even host one on the school grounds with a collection of pumpkins. We would take a list of items to find, such as a small pumpkin, a pumpkin with a stem, a pumpkin with stripes, or a pumpkin that is a certain color. This activity encourages observation skills, and attention to detail, and can also be a great way to learn about different types of pumpkins. I have also included in my packet wall pennants that are perfect to decorate the hall or a bulletin board!

This is a great opportunity for a class Pumpkin Carving or Decorating Contest. They can then showcase their creations and have a friendly competition to see who has the most creative or unique pumpkins. This activity allows children to express their creativity, practice fine motor skills, and engage in friendly competition. I have also added plenty of writing exercises to practice their writing skills.
